So my good friend Paul turned me onto P90X but I wasn’t really a true believer. Just like most of America, we look at work out videos and infomercials about them and think, oh yeah I can do, no problem. Well people, why dont you?! For most of us its the pre-meditated thought of I dont want to start something that I wont finish and fail at so we drop it. For me, I was lazy. I’m not gonna lie here, I was really lazy… When am I going to find 1 Hour in my day to train, become fit and healthy? How about that hour that I sit on butt and watch T.V., or that hour that I spend browsing the internet looking at the crazy UGC (user generated content) on youtube.com and break.com. I think that if we all really looked at what we do in a day, we have no excuses to at least try our best and forget the rest.

P90X is not for everyone, there is a fitness test that tells you if you can do it. Here’s a rundown: The workout is a straight 90 days. Each day you workout for a little over an hour. There’s a total of 12 DVD’s and each one is designed for certain parts of your body. This is a high-intensity physically challenging workout. from the site itself: “P90X is a revolutionary system of 12 sweat-inducing, muscle-pumping workouts, designed to transform your body from regular to ripped in just 90 days.” They are NOT joking! I remember my first day, just after the 7 minute warm-up I was already breathing hard, sweating and pleasantly dreading what’s to come! What I love about the host is that he keeps reminding you to “Do your best, and forget the rest.” Its not about keeping up with their speed or the amount of reps they do. Its about keeping yourself at the limit and pushing a hair further to really burn those calories and strengthen your body at the pace you can do. I’m no rockstar at this. I can’t keep up with them on a good portion of the workouts, but you know, I’m dedicated to try my best. That’s all you really need. I dont have anyone pushing me or yelling at me with their stinky breath and bad B.O. to push harder, I’m pushing myself because the results are amazing.

This workout also comes with an awesome support system! For Free, goto teambeachbody.com and find a coach. Thats right, a free coach. Someone that has gone though the training and succeeded at transforming themselves. I actually met mine through twitter. If you want to sign up for a coach, I really recommend Alicia, she’s a fantastic coach! To add on to the workout they have the perfect suppliments and a recovery drink that is designed to help your muscles rejuvinate after the intense workout and you can get everything through team beach body.

Lastly, here is a link to the spreadsheet that I am filling during each workout to see my own progression, I hope you all follow along! Ill post pictures at my 30 days!

Here are a few pics just to inspire you:
